A fire on the westbound span of the Bay Bridge Sunday afternoon disrupted traffic, though no injuries were reported.
The fire was reported about 6 p.m. It appeared to be coming from underneath the bridge, in a construction area.
The fire was quickly extinguished, and its cause is still under investigation.
Traffic came to a standstill until about 8 p.m. as crews assessed its safety.
The smoky fire caught the attention of many travelers, who sent photos to News4. This one is from Jonathan Clark.
