Slashed Va. Horses Recovering

Hunt still on for suspects in April attacks

Three horses that were mysteriously slashed last month in Fairfax County are now doing much better.

The horses were all cut on the haunches sometime between the night of April 26th and the morning of April 27th.

One horse has now fully recovered. The other two are still in the process of healing because their wounds keep reopening. Officials at Frying Pan Park say they’re still optimistic that the horses will make a full recovery.

The horses are part of the Spirit Open Equestrian Program, which provides activities to children with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities.

A $1,000 reward is still being offered for any information about who slashed the horses.
