Police in Fairfax County are investigating a possible case of sexual assault involving a teenager.
A 17-year-old girl told investigators that someone assaulted her in the Springfield area Tuesday afternoon. It happened near Cimarron Street and Abeline Street.
Investigators said the teen was not hurt in the incident. Officers used dogs and a helicopter to search the area.
There have been almost a dozen groping incidents in the Springfield area in the past few months, but police said at this point there's no confirmation this case could be related.
