Severe Storms Leave High Water, Downed Lines

Severe storms swept through the D.C. metro area Saturday night, leaving high water and some downed power lines in their wake.

In Potomac, Maryland, on Bradley Boulevard near Kentsdale Drive, water trapped the occupants of a car; Swift Water Rescue units from Montgomery County responded to rescue the occupants.

Also in Potomac, in the 9300 block of Kendale Road, a car was stuck in three to four feet of high water on a bridge. There were no occupants in that car.

Meanwhile, the severe storms knocked down wires near the intersection of Bradley Boulevard and Seven Locks Road, leading to road closures and power outages in the area.
