A serious accident involving multiple vehicles occurred on the George Washington Memorial Parkway Wednesday afternoon.
The accident was reported along the northbound lanes near the second overlook. Multiple injuries were reported and they were serious but not fatal, U.S. Park Police said.
One victim required extrication from their vehicle, and another was flown from the scene for treatment.
Northbound traffic is being diverted onto Spout Run.
