Germantown Intersection Reopens After Serious Crash

A busy intersection in Germantown, Md., has reopened following a serious accident.

Montgomery County Police say the driver of a jeep was traveling northbound on Great Senenca Highway around 2:11 a.m. Friday when they failed to turn left or right onto Middlebrook Road when the highway ended.

The driver continued going straight across the road, went up an embankment and came to a rest in the trees.

Police say the driver suffered serious injuries. A second person was treated and released from the hospital.
