Sentencing in Pr. George's for Double Shooting

A man convicted of killing his mother and stepbrother is being sentenced in Prince George's County.

Quindell Mercer faces 110 years in prison when he appears in Circuit Court on Friday for his sentencing.

He was convicted of two counts of second-degree murder and other charges for the August 2011 double-shooting.

Prosecutors say Mercer shot both victims and then positioned their bodies on a sofa. They say DNA evidence and an FBI handwriting evidence connected Mercer to the crime.
