Anne Arundel County prosecutors are seeking a sentence of up to 10 years in prison for a former high school teacher charged with having sexual encounters with female students.
Jeffrey R. Sears Jr., is scheduled to be sentenced later this month. He entered pleas Friday to charges of sexual encounters with three students.
Sears taught English at Glen Burnie High School and also coached basketball there.
Authorities believe the sexual activity with the teenage girls occurred over a two-year period.
He is scheduled to be sentenced April 27 in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court.
