On Duty Secret Service Officer Arrested in Prostitution Sting

Officer tells undercover agent: "Nice thighs"

A Secret Service officer was arrested early Saturday morning during an undercover prostitution sting, according to D.C. police.

The officer, who police said is a sergeant, was taken into custody at about 1 a.m. near 11th and K streets in northwest Washington.

Police said they were working a normal undercover operation in the area when the Secret Service officer pulled his squad car up to a female undercover agent.  The officer was in uniform and on duty, police said.

While the undercover officer thought the Secret Service officer was going to tell her to leave the area, police said the sergeant instead started a sexual conversation, telling her she had "nice thighs," and agreed on a price of $20 for a specific sexual act.

Police said the Secret Service officer pulled around the corner and the undercover officer signaled the other members of the sting team to take him into custody.

The sergeant's name has not been released. He was cited and released on his own recognizance.
