Second Suspect Arrested in Reese Murder

Police have arrested a second suspect in the case of a fatal shooting that took a strange turn earlier this month.

Members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Stephen Bernard Page, Jr., 18, of Northwest. He is charged with first degree murder while armed, for a shooting that took place on June 27. The victim was Solomon Reese, 71.

This arrest comes after a first suspect was arrested and escaped from custody. On July 15, James "Sticky" Brewer, 24, was arrested in conjunction with the shooting. He escaped the same day by switching identification bracelets with another suspect being held for a misdemeanor. After walking out of the courthouse, he surrendered to authorities the next day.

Investigators believe the victim was targeted for the money he made selling cigarettes out of his apartment.
