A Howard University missing nearly a week has been found safe in Prince George's County.
Arianne Carr, a freshman from California, was found unharmed in Landover Hills, say county police.
Carr flew back to the District Jan. 7 after visiting Oakland. Police say she was seen on campus earlier in the week, but family members were not able to contact her days. Friends passed out fliers around campus Saturday night.
No word yet on why she went missing.
Her mother released a statement saying "I thank every single person that has prayed, prayed, worked and made phone calls on my behalf. The circumstances of this past week have been exhausting, overwhelming, and beyond my comprehension... god bless you all."
