No Jury Verdict Yet in Sean Taylor Slaying Trial

A South Florida jury is done for the day without reaching a verdict in the trial of a man accused of killing Washington Redskins star Sean Taylor during a botched burglary.

Jurors quit Thursday afternoon, in part because some of the panel wanted to take their children trick-or-treating. They will return Friday for a third day of deliberations on the fate of 23-year-old Eric Rivera Jr., the Fort Myers man who faces life in prison if convicted of murder in Taylor's 2007 shooting death.

Trial testimony showed Taylor was shot when he confronted a group of young men who had broken into his Miami-area home.

Rivera confessed to police after the killing but testified his statement was coerced and insisted that someone else killed Taylor.
