The lock-in at an Alexandria, Virginia, school is over.

George Washington Middle School and Central Office were locked in as police investigated a report of shots fired in the 1200 block of Wythe Street. Police have not found anyone with injuries.

Lock-in status means all school doors are locked, and no one can enter or leave, but classes continue as normal.

Jefferson-Houston School also was locked in for a few minutes.
