A portion of Route 7 in Loudoun County will be shut down for at least several hours in both directions Monday afternoon due to power lines felled during a traffic crash.
The eastbound lanes of Route 7 are closed at Route 28; traffic is being diverted onto Route 28. The westbound lanes of Route 7 are closed at Countryside Road; traffic is being diverted onto Countryside Road near Sterling.
The route will be closed until at least 4 p.m., while the crash is cleared and power lines repaired.
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash. Details were not immediately available.
