A man who targeted District senior citizens by posing as a maintenance man is now behind bars.
Anthony Ford, 47, was arrested Thursday in connection with two burglaries. Investigators say Ford pretended to be a plumber in order to get into seniors' homes.
Twice in the past two weeks, police say, Ford apartment complexes for senior citizens -- the Delta Towers in Northeast and another complex in the 1200 block of G Street SE.
Ford told the victims he was there to fix a toilet that was leaking into an apartment below, and when he was allowed in, he tied up the residents and robbed them, police said.
Ford is charged with burglary in connection with two incidents.
