The Wharf has become one of D.C.'s most prized real estate areas, but some who live nearby don't like what's blowing their way.
As construction crews work on the second phase of the Southwest Waterfront development, a cloud of dust continues to spread a few blocks away to the Tiber Island neighborhood at M and 4th streets.
"It’s gross. It makes me feel sick. ... No one wants to be around dust," resident Masia Riley said.
Riley parks on 4th Street every day and says a sheet of dust covers her car.
"It’s like a daily basis thing. It’s messy. I have to wash my hands right after so, and it’s like an inconvenience," Riley said.
She and other residents says the dust is also affecting their health.
"With dust, it affects my allergies," Riley said.

"I have asthma and bunch of our neighbors, I live right over here, have asthma and all of us have complained to the community," another resident told News4.
The wall around the construction site reads Balfour Beatty. News4 called and left messages with the construction company.
A spokesperson with the D.C. Department of Energy and Environment gave the following statement:
"Our inspectors have made regular visits to the site, and we will continue to work with the community to monitor the situation. We are fully committed to addressing the issue and will keep the community apprised of updates as they become available.”
