Resident Burned, Firefighter Injured in Falls Church House Fire

One person suffered 1st degree burns and a firefighter was injured during a house fire in Falls Church, Va., Saturday evening.

The Arlington and Fairfax County Fire Departments responded to a fire around 9 p.m. in the 500 block of E. Columbia St. in Falls Church.

Officials said the residents were home at the time and one received first degree burns but did not go to a hospital.

One Fairfax County firefighter received a laceration and went to Fairfax Hospital for treatment.

The Falls Church Fire Marshal has ruled the cause as undetermined at this point. Damages are estimated at more than $250,000.
