Remains Identified as Young Maryland Mom

Jessica Lee, 20, was a young mother from Brooklyn Park, Md.

Human remains found Aug. 6 in Anne Arundel County have been identified as belonging to Jessica Lee, 20.

Lee had been missing from Brooklyn Park since May. The case is being investigated as a homicide based on the trauma to the upper body.

Her remains were found in Pasadena, Md., when a man walking in the woods behind the 8100 block of Ritchie Highway discovered a human skull. After an "intensive search," police say, a search team located her body.

Investigators have not commented on a cause of death.

According to Patch.com, Lee was last seen at the Shoppers Food Warehouse in the 5700 block of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park.

A "missing" poster described Lee as "a young mom who is also emotionally delayed and extremely vulnerable.... Jessie talks to just about everyone she sees. No matter if she's known them for a long time or just met them that very second, she would tell them her life story and think that they were the best of friends. She would trust everything they told her, whether it was the truth or not."

According to the poster, Lee had a one-year-old daughter.
