Redskins' wide receiver Pierre Garcon has filed a class-action lawsuit in Maryland against fantasy sports site FanDuel, according to ProFootballTalk.

The complaint alleges that FanDuel is taking advantage of NFL players by using their popularity and performance without the players' authority and without a license -- including in advertisements.

Garcon is suing "on behalf of all NFL players whose names and likenesses have been misappropriated by daily fantasy football operator FanDuel," according to a statement from Garcon's lawyers posted on Twitter by Fox Sports' Mike Garafolo.

Speaking on behalf of the players, Garcon's lawyers called the company's actions "a blatant misappropriation of their publicity rights."

"FanDuel continues to promote and to operate its daily fantasy football gaming product on the backs of NFL players like Mr. Garcon, whose popularity and performance make FanDuel's entire business model possible," the statement reads.

FanDuel runs daily fantasy football games and claims players can win big prizes. Daily fantasy games have been shut down in Nevada and sued by former customers.
