Red-light Cameras Turned on in Falls Church

Falls Church has two new red-light cameras that are up and running.

Falls Church drivers think twice before racing through a yellow light.

On Sunday two red-light cameras were brought online.

The cameras are set up at the intersections of East Broad and South Cherry Streets and West Broad Street and Annandale Road.

For the next 30 days drivers who are caught running through the red-light cameras will receive a warning in the mail.  The city will begin issuing fines of $50 on January 18th.

The city chose the locations after evaluating which intersections have the most red-light runners.
