The weather front dropping rain on the D.C. area should move out of the area Friday evening, but a fast-moving storm is right on its heels.
Rain could end as early as 7 p.m., but more precipitation could begin falling Saturday night. The colder temperatures -- expect highs around 40 -- mean the precipitation could begin as snow or a wintry mix of sleet and snow.
That storm could create hazardous, slippery roads to the north and west of D.C. The storm may only produce rain for D.C. and its suburbs to the south and east.
It looks like Monday and Tuesday will have good weather for travel.
