Prince George's Officer To Be Honored At Redskins Game

Services have been scheduled for a Prince George's County police officer who was killed in a crash while pursuing a vehicle on Interstate 95 in Beltsville this week.

The funeral for Officer Adrian Morris will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Woodstream Church in Mitchellville, Md. Burial will take place at about 1 p.m. in Davidsonville.

Morris died Monday in the crash on southbound I-95 near the Powder Mill Road exit. He and another officer were pursuing a vehicle that matched the description of a car involved in a theft. Police say they lost control of the police cruiser and it ran off the highway into a ditch.

Prince George's County police say the Washington Redskins will hold a moment of silence to honor Morris before Saturday's game with the Indianapolis Colts.
