Prince George's County Wins Award for School Website

The Communicator Awards pay tribute to marketing and communications achievements

The website for the Prince George's County public school system is being honored.

The schools were recognized in the 18th Annual Communicator Awards, which pay tribute to marketing and communications achievements.

“We are pleased to be recognized by the Communicator Awards,” said Dr. William R. Hite, Superintendent of Prince George's County Schools. “This honor is a direct reflection of our employees’ creativity, skill and talents in ensuring that our communications tools exemplify innovation and professionalism.”

The school system says it received an award for its website, which was revamped last September to make it easier to use. The school district was also honored for its “PGCPS Update,” a video feature that highlights students, programs and upcoming events.
