Prince George's County Police Ask for Help Identifying Body Found in Potomac River

Man's body found Sunday in the water near Fort Washington, Md.

Prince George's County Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the body of a man found in the Potomac River over the weekend.

The body was found Sunday in the water near Fort Washington, Md.

An autopsy was conducted Monday, but a cause of death has not been determined, authorities said. Toxicology results are due in a few weeks.

Detectives say the man was probably white or Hispanic, between ages 40 and 60, approximately 6'1" and 180 pounds. He was slightly balding with short, white hair.

Authorities released a photo of the sneakers the man was wearing when his body was found. He was also wearing black shorts.
