Pr. George's Officials Highlight Domestic Violence Awareness

Prince George's County officials are drawing attention to the problem of domestic violence.

County Executive Rushern Baker III, State's Attorney Angela Alsobrooks, Police Chief Mark Magaw and other officials announced resources available to victims of domestic violence Wednesday.

That includes the county's 211 help number, the police department's new domestic violence unit and other resources provided by law enforcement.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The event was in the courtyard of the Hyattsville courthouse.
