Power Outages in Arlington

Hundreds of residents have been left without power in Virginia

A power outage in Arlington Wednesday morning has left hundreds of people in the dark.

Virginia Dominion Power confirms at 7 a.m., a piece of equipment failed at the Arlington sub-station.

There were 1,789 customers without power at first. Currently, there are 1200 customers without power.

The company expects to restore the power of all but 193 customers within the hour.

The remaining 193 customers should expect to see their power restored between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Some sections of the following areas have been impacted, including traffic signals:

  • South Walter Reed Drive
  • South Arlington Mill Drive
  • South Four Mile Run Drive
  • South Wakefield Street
