Police Seek Owner of Abandoned Baseball Card Collection

Police want to reunite a baseball card collector with a potentially valuable collection found in D.C. in June.

More than 500 cards were found in East Potomac Park near the Tennis Center, south of the Jefferson Memorial and the 14th Street Bridge on June 24, police said. The person who found them realized their value and turned them in to police.

The collection includes Topps and Fleer cards from the 1980s. To claim the collection, the collector will have to know what other brands and years are included.

Anyone who wants to claim the collection or has information about who it may belong to should call 202-727-4383.
