Police's Officer's Gun Stolen From Car

A Northern Virginia police officer's car was broken into this week and the burglar got away with the officer's rifle.

According to a news release from Prince William County Police, the officer's person vehicle was parked near his home overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, when his M-4 automatic rifle, a radar gun and a MDB laptop were stolen from the car's trunk.

The laptop and the radar gun have since been recovered but the rifle, a department-issued weapon, is still missing.
