The Metropolitan Police Department says 19 people were rescued after a boat overturned in the Potomac River.
A police spokesman says a vessel he described as a dragon boat, or large racing boat, capsized before 2 p.m. Saturday. The department's harbor unit responded and rescued all 19 people aboard. No injuries were reported.
The cause wasn't immediately clear, though severe weather warnings were in effect for much of the area.
The boat capsized in the waters underneath the 14th Street Bridge, which connects D.C. and northern Virginia.
