Police: Recklessly Speeding Motorcyclist Killed in Crash

ELKRIDGE, Md. -- A motorcyclist was killed when he was ejected from his vehicle and was hit by at least two cars on Interstate 95 in Elkridge, according to Maryland State Police.

The accident took place Saturday at about 7:30 p.m. on southbound I-95 north of Maryland Route 100. A group of six to eight motorcycles was speeding recklessly when one driver lost control, police said. The motorcycle left the roadway, struck the center median guardrail and ejected the driver in the southbound lane, where he was struck by at least two vehicles. Those drivers remained at the scene.

As the victim's motorcycle traveled back onto the highway, it was struck by a 2005 Suzuki GSXR750, ejecting its driver. Witnesses told state police that the operator fled on the back of one of the motorcycles in the group.

Troopers are searching for the operator of the second motorcycle.
