Man Loses Eye in Paintball Attack in Virginia, Police Say

Police in Virginia say a man lost an eye to a paintball attack and another man received minor injuries in another such attack

A man lost an eye to a paintball attack and another man suffered minor injuries in a similar attack, police in Virginia say.

Richmond police say a man was shot in the face, chest and back with a paintball gun July 22, news outlets report. He was taken to a hospital with injuries that weren't life-threatening.

Hours later, officers responded to a report of another paintball gun attack on the same street, police said in a release. This time, a man had been shot in the face, chest and right eye.

The victim underwent surgery but his eye wasn't able to be saved, Major Crimes Lt. Richard Edwards said.

Kemontray L. Lamberts, 19, is charged with malicious wounding in the first assault. Police said they're investigating the other.
