Man Shot in Face After Police Answer Domestic Call

D.C. police officer also injured

A man is in stable condition after a police-involved shooting Tuesday night in which a D.C. police officer was also injured.

It started out as a domestic dispute call just after 11 p.m. in the 6400 block of 13th St. NW.

Officers say when they entered a home there, they ran into a man armed with a knife. It's not immediately clear what happened, but one of the officers fired his gun, hitting the suspect in the face.

One of the officers suffered a minor injury, but police didn't say what it was.
