Metropolitan police are searching for a man in connection with the sexual assault of a transgender female early Saturday morning.
Detectives said the victim accepted a ride from the suspect in the area of the 1100 block of Atlas Court in northeast Washington. They said when the victim got inside the vehicle, the suspect drove to a nearby alley, produced a handgun, and sexually assaulted her.
The suspect is described as a black man in his twenties, with short curly hair, dark complexion, slim build, and was last seen wearing a black shirt and pants. The suspect was driving a gold four-door Lexus, possibly an ES 350.
