Police Investigate Early Morning Mount Vernon Carjacking

Police say a man was carjacked while waiting outside of his car for an individual to join him during the early morning hours Tuesday.

According to Fairfax County Police, crews were dispatched to the 6300 block of South Kings Highway in Mount Vernon, Va. just before 4:30 a.m. for a carjacking. The 58-year-old victim was standing outside of his Honda, waiting for a passenger to join him when a woman approached him and implied she had a gun.

She then drove off in the victim's car, and police say a man may have been sitting in the front passenger seat as well.

The car is described as a four-door Honda Civic with Virginia tags XRJ8539.

The suspect is described as a black woman in her early 20s, standing 5'7" and weighing 145 pounds. At the time, she was wearing a dark, long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.
