Police Search for Semitruck That Killed Maryland Woman in Hit-and-Run

Police are searching for a semitruck that killed a 22-year-old woman in a hit-and-run.

Lourdina Hyppolite, of Beltsville, was on I-95 near Route 198 when she was struck by a truck headed northbound, Maryland State Police say.

The driver left the scene, police say.

Another driver spotted Hyppolite in the grass and called police about 7:30 a.m. Thursday. Prince George's County Fire and EMS pronounced her dead at the scene.

A headlight found at the scene indicate the truck was a Freightliner Cascadia made between 2008 and 2019.
