Prince George's County police said a man they sought earlier Tuesday is not wanted on criminal charges for taking his 1-year-old son.
Police had said the man forced his way into a home at gunpoint and forcibly took the boy but have since said both parents have legal rights to the child and there are inconsistencies in the mother's story.
Jo'Ell Jackson does not appear to be in any danger, but police would like to hear from his father, 24-year-old Cornell Antonio Bennett, 24, of northeast Washington, to make sure the boy his safe.
