Two people had BB guns fired at them over the weekend in Fredericksburg, Virginia: a man struck while riding his bike and a female protester whose sign was shot through.
Police said a 27-year-old Stafford man was riding his bicycle Friday evening when the passenger of a moving car shot him with a BB or pellet gun.
The vehicle, a white Toyota, left the scene headed southbound on Route 2.
Then, on Saturday afternoon, an unknown person shot holes through a protest sign held by a Linden woman while she stood on Cowan Boulevard at the I-95 overpass.
Police say the damage to the sign appeared to be from a BB or pellet gun.
Fredericksburg City Police said they don't know the incidents are related. They are investigating.
