Police Release Sketch of Man Who Fondled Student at Gunpoint

D.C. police released a sketch Saturday of the man who fondled a Georgetown University student at gunpoint last month.

According to police, a 19-year-old student was attacked off campus early on April 16.

The victim told police a man approached her with a handgun on her in the 3300 block of Prospect Street NW at about 2 a.m. The man approached the student from behind and told her to give him whatever she had, so she gave him her cell phone. He then put his hand up her dress and tore a part of her clothing. She escaped him, and he fled toward M Street.

She was not seriously hurt.

The attacker was described as a 6-foot-3 black man with medium build and short black hair in his early 20s. He was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

A week earlier, a student was sexually assaulted in a campus dorm.
