Police Radio Conversation Sheds Info on Fatal Reston Shooting

Police dispatch calls showed a couple’s daughter called 911 to report that her parents had been shot inside their Reston, Virginia, home.

Police said Scott Fricker and his wife, Buckley Kuhn-Fricker, were shot and killed by a boy, 17, who got inside their home and was confronted by the couple. Police said after shooting the two, the boy shot himself. He suffered life-threatening injuries and remains in the hospital under police guard.

The police radio conversations on that evening revealed shots were fired after officers arrived on the scene. Those officers found three people who had been shot on the second floor of the Reston, Virginia, home.

Because of his injuries, police have not been able to serve the charges against the boy. Four other family members who were at home at the time of the shooting were not hurt.
