Two D.C. police officers are were hospitalized Saturday night after being attacked in Chinatown.
The incident happened around 5 p.m. along 6th Street in Northwest. Police said they received a few complaints about a homeless man blocking the sidewalk. When the two officers approached him , the man attacked the officers and hit them in head several times with a large pipe.
The suspect was arrested and has name has not been released.
Both officers were taken to the hospital. Their names and conditions are not being released at this time.
