Police Making Progress in Investigation of Rep. Cummings's Nephew's Death

A Maryland congressman said police in Norfolk, Va., are making progress in the investigation of his nephew's shooting death but said help from the public may be what's needed to solve the crime.

Christopher Cummings was fatally shot at his home steps away from Old Dominion University on June 10. No arrests have been made and police have not publicly identified any suspects.

Cummings's uncle, U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings, toured his nephew's home Monday following a meeting with ODU and Norfolk police.

Cummings said police are doing what they can to address his nephew's death, but he said he wasn't able to share much information.

Cummings said he believes someone knows who shot his nephew, although he said he had no specific information to indicate that's the case.
