Juvenile Shot During Southeast D.C. Robbery Attempt

Police have arrested all three suspects wanted in connection with a robbery attempt that left a juvenile injured.

Officers were called to the 300 block of 34th Street SE at 10 p.m. for reports of a shooting. According to investigators, a juvenile vicitm was shot in the arm during what appears to be a robbery attempt.

One resident who spoke to News4's Megan McGrath recalled hearing around 10 shots. At least one of those shots came from an off-duty D.C. police officer who happened to be in the area. Police say the officer's gunfire did not hit anyone.

Police say the three would-be robbers then fled the area, crashing their car at Minnesota and Eastern avenues.

One person was arrested in D.C. while the remaining suspects were taken into custody by Prince George's County Police.

The names of the suspects and the charges they face have not been released.
