Cooker is from Herndon and court records show he was arrested in 2013 for distributing heroin in Fairfax County and for two counts of breaking and entering in Loudoun County.

In 2015, Cooker was released from jail and he was supposed to be on supervised probation at the time of his death, according to sentencing records.

Police would not say whether or not his death was related to drugs.

A few hundred feet away from the area where he was found is a bridge known as "Bunny Man Bridge." The bridge got its name from an urban legend claiming a man dressed as a bunny terrorized the community. Police are familiar with the area and often have officers patrolling the bridge during Halloween. The legend has never been verified.
