Suspect Arrested in Death of Woman in Capitol Heights

A woman was arrested in the death of a woman she was acquainted with in Capitol Heights, Maryland.

Police arrested the suspect, 34-year-old Olayinka Kowobari, in connection with Wednesday morning's homicide. Kowobari is charged with first- and second-degree murder.

The victim, 35-year-old Jodi Henry, was found in the 9400 block of Eugenia Park Street at about 1:45 a.m.

She suffered trauma to the upper body and was pronounced dead at a hospital, police said.

Officers at the crime scene Wednesday morning focused much of their investigation around a car with a shattered windshield. Officers also removed a portion of the railing leading to the home's front door.

Roberto Romero said he heard a man and woman fighting from his home next door.

"We hear somebody was screaming with one man," Romero said. "I don't know if it was a young woman or an old woman."

Romero said someone threw several plastic chairs into the back of his truck before leaving.

"Looks like they dropped some chairs on the back of my truck, got to their car and left," Romero said.

Another neighbor told News4 that three women and two children live in the home. The neighbor said a woman who lives in the home called her and asked her to check on her daughter.
