Police Investigate String of 7-Eleven Robberies

Five stores robbed Wednesday morning

Police in D.C., Prince George's County and Laurel are looking for the men responsible for five robberies at local 7-Eleven convenience stores overnight.

The following stores were hit Wednesday morning:

  • 6400 block of Auth Road in Camp Springs about 1 a.m. 
  • 1400 block of Laurel Bowie Road in Laurel abound 2 a.m. 
  • Cherry Hill Road in Beltsville about 3:30 a.m.
  • East-West Highway in Hyattsville about 4 a.m.
  • 1100 block of U Street in D.C. abound 4:30 am.

Police said they believe all of these incidents are connected.

D.C. police said they are looking for two men who displayed handguns and ordered the clerk to the ground. D.C. police said the men took money from the register and then ran away.

In the Laurel incident, two masked men carrying handguns demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint and ordered the customer in the store to the ground at gunpoint. Police would like to speak to that customer, who left the store before police arrived.
