14-Year-Old Boy to Be Charged With Murder in Prince George's Co. Apartment Building

A 14-year-old boy is accused of fatally stabbing an 18-year-old man early Thursday in an apartment building in Oxon Hill, Md.

The boy, whose case was moved to juvenile court, had been charged with first-degree murder, Prince George's County Police said in an update Thursday night.

Police were on patrol about 12:45 a.m. Thursday when they found Jerome Michael Toy of Livingston Road in Oxon Hill in the 6400 block of that street. Toy had been stabbed in the upper body, police said. He was rushed to a hospital, where he died.

Detectives believe the boy stabbed Toy during a dispute inside an apartment building on Livingston Road. Toy is believed to have run from the building and then collapsed outside.

After a preliminary investigation, authorities say they don't believe this was a random act. However, detectives are still trying to uncover a motive and suspect.
