Police in Fairfax County are investigating the report of an attempted abduction Wednesday morning.
Officials said a 19-year-old woman was walking near Cimarron and Apache Streets in the Springfield, Va., area near Lee High School at about 8 a.m.
The victim, a student, said she was grabbed from behind by a man. He ran away when she screamed.
A search of the area failed to locate the man.
