Police identified the man found dead near a bus stop in Bethesda, Maryland, last week.
A woman who takes the bus to work discovered the body of 25-year-old Francisco De La O De La Cruz along the side of Old Georgetown Road near Lone Oak Drive about 5:30 p.m. Feb. 25 and called police.
The body was covered by a bag or tarp and was partially open, the woman said. When she pulled it back, she saw two legs.
The medical examiner determined the death was a homicide.
Last week, Montgomery County police released photos of clothing items and tattoos to help identify the man.
Detectives do not believe the man was killed at the bus stop where his body was found.
The bus stop isn't far from the popular Wildwood Shopping Center. Three churches and a child care center are also nearby.
