Police ID Woman Killed in Hit-And-Run Crash

Anne Arundel County police are identifying a woman killed in a Pasadena hit-and-run crash.

Police said Thursday that investigators have identified the woman as 20-year-old Samantha Nichole Kreppel of Pasadena.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined that Kreppel, who was found dead Tuesday in a wooded area along Bayside Beach Road, died from injuries after she was hit by a car. Police say it appears Kreppel, who lived less than a mile away, was walking or standing on the northbound side of the road when she was struck.

Based on evidence found at the scene, police say the car that hit Kreppel was likely a 1982 through 1985 Mercedes. Investigators are asking the community to look for such a car with hood, fender or glass damage.
