Police: Estranged Husband Shot Woman to Death on Rooftop

Police are searching for a 35-year-old man who accused of fatally shooting his estranged wife as she hid on the rooftop of a Maryland home.

Police say Jameal Gould forced himself inside 30-year-old Erica Gould's Salisbury home Sunday afternoon to continue an argument that had started earlier that day. Police said he found her hiding just outside a window on the roof and fired multiple shots before fleeing.

Erica Gould was found on the roof with multiple gunshot wounds and taken to a hospital, where she died.

Salisbury police Capt. Rich Kaiser says police hadn't been called to the residence before and no protective order was in place.

Jameal Gould is wanted on charges of first and second-degree murder, home invasion, first and second-degree assault and false imprisonment.

Anyone with information that can help police is asked to call 410-548-3165.
